Does getting your cartilage piercing hurt for 13 year old..?

well i have been thinkin about getting my cartilage pierced. im only 13 and im wanna get both ears done..i've hear ppl sayin it hurts and painfull which makes me kinda nerves but im a strong athletic female with very good grades in school..i think i can handle a needle..i need your opinion soo please helpp me.
