Landlord Issues - Please help?

Communal space does not concern you and the owner can walk around it whenever he or she wishes. The owner can check the property on the outside anytime they wish to make sure it is not trashed out.You may rent the property but you do not own the property.The owner has every right to make sure it looks nice on the outside and you have no right to say he cannot do this.What is the problem unless there is something going on you don't want him to catch? Your remark about paying rent even though you werent there..is funny. What do you think you were supposed to get a break from rent while your stuff occupied someones space ? Do you not realize that rent is someones income.I would have charged you full rent for the summer or I would have rented to someone else. Landlords keep a close eye on their property especially if there are students living there. To me it sounds like something is going on and you are afraid the owner is going to catch you. Otherwise there is nothing wrong with anything else.
